Wikipedia describes a Gladiator as: (Latin: gladiator, "swordsman", from gladius, "sword") was an armed combatant who entertained audiences in the Roman Republic and Roman Empire in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild animals, and condemned criminals. Some gladiators were volunteers who risked their legal and social standing and their lives by appearing in the arena. Most were despised as slaves, schooled under harsh conditions, socially marginalized, and segregated even in death. Irrespective of their origin, gladiators offered audiences an example of Rome's martial ethics and, in fighting or dying well, they could inspire admiration and popular acclaim. They were celebrated in high and low art, and their value as entertainers was commemorated in precious and commonplace objects throughout the Roman world.

Today is no different. When it comes to the enjoyment of a good battle. I know I find myself, with the guilty pleasure, of Monday Night WWE Raw. And look forward to the upcoming events of MMA. With the media today we can DVR the shows and watch them over and over again. There is just something to the raw and real emotions of the inner animalistic nature we have burning inside of us.

Can you imagine the training those men went through? Knowing that at a moments time they could lose an arm, a leg, their life. With each training section they had to have the intense physical and mental conditioning, to create a favorable outcome. For each LIVE performance had to be perfect, or else.

I am finding that this same tenacity of survival is needed in my business thinking. It is imperative that I create and perfect the business outline. So that I can then bask in the rewards of a perfect season of training and performing. With wealth being created while I play, sleep, spend time traveling, enjoying time with family and friends.

When I began my journey of online marketing. I had no idea what I was doing. But I sure knew I wanted to take full advantage of the internet money being generated, that others were enjoying. I just had to learn the how-to's.

When a new gladiator was taken on. They had the opportunity to be mentored. Their teacher did not care if he killed. So the newbie had to have a quick reaction to the onslaught of training. It was imperative that he learned NOW.

Today we have it a bit simpler...lol. We know we won't die in our training. But I still knew it was extremely important that I had the same mindset to succeed with online marketing.

Get ready for sacrifice. For this is a must.

Get ready for failure. For this is necessary.

Get ready for long hours. For this is part of the journey.

Any successful and Glorified Gladiator had scars. They had stories to tell of the beginning failures. They had opportunities to quit, yet chose to stand their ground. To take the punishment, take the learning stages, take the battles, in order to grow in knowledge, and then stature.

Online Marketing is so rewarding. But it is only for those that are willing to understand that this is for the Gladiators, that choose to stand there ground. And do whatever it takes to gain the knowledge.

There has been many times I threw my hands up in the air in frustration. But there was not a moment I thought "forget this". The reason why is because I determined in my heart I WOULD NOT QUIT.

Taking a step back is a good thing to do. This helps in create a moment of clarity.

When you get to the boiling point.

STEP BACK!

Get out of your house, go for a walk, a run, rollerblade, workout. Something physical. So that you can get some of that frustration out of your mind. And allow the body to become stress free.
